So, dozens of years ago, when the American astronauts of the Apollo mission landed on the surface of our natural satellite, they also collected and brought samples of lunar soil to earth.
Most of the vials containing these samples were opened and studied at the time, but some were kept for further study, with the idea that in the future, with more advanced technologies, it would be possible to obtain more information through their research
And recently the last of these vials was opened, and two of them were used to test the cultivation of plants․․․

The test was successful, and in soil poor in lunar nutrients in these flasks it was possible to grow a plant called Arabidopsis thaliana
So, this success has two important sides ))
Firstly, similar experiments help to understand how favorable lunar or Martian soils are for plant growth and could solve one of the most important problems for astronauts on long-term missions, namely the problem of Nutrition. That is, plants grown here during long missions to the moon and Mars can become a source of Hawaiian food
Another important aspect is that these experiments help to find new agricultural methods that can also be applied to grow plants in places with rare vegetation on planet Earth and improve the food problem ))
